This public page requires no account or sign-in. It reproduces the production web-form flow below using the same interface and disclosure shown to members.

Recurring service-related text messages from The Babysitter Broker are optional and off by default. Members can create an account, complete onboarding, and use The Babysitter Broker fully without ever enabling them. Consent to recurring texts is never bundled with account creation, the Terms, the Privacy Policy, or any other required action.

A mobile number is required to sign in, and a one-time verification code is texted for that purpose. Receiving that verification code is not consent to recurring messages: the two are stored and controlled separately. Everything below is the real production user interface, in the order a member sees it.

Step 1

Mobile number collected for account verification

The account-entry screen. The number entered here is used to send a one-time sign-in verification code. The screen states plainly that this is verification only and does not sign anyone up for text messages.

Enter your mobile number to continue.

We'll text you a verification code to confirm your number. Message and data rates may apply. This is account verification only — it does not sign you up for ongoing text updates.

By continuing, you agree to the Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. This does not sign you up for text messages.

Membership is invitation only.

Step 2

“Stay in the loop” — Text Messages OFF by default

After onboarding, members choose how they want to be reached. Text Messages starts off, is labelled optional, and the member can continue without touching it.

Step 4

Opt-in stored — Text Messages enabled

After the affirmative action, the preference is saved as on. We store the member ID, mobile number, timestamp, source (onboarding or Settings), the disclosure version shown, and the preference itself. Members see the same state in Settings and can switch it off at any time.

Step 5

STOP and HELP are supported

Members can send these keywords to the same sending number at any time. STOP immediately disables recurring service texts; HELP returns the brand name and support information.

Step 6

Confirmation text sent immediately after opt-in

This message is sent once, at the moment of opt-in — never on sign-in and never for any other event.
